Slumerville Brewing Company, or just “Slum Brew”, is the increasingly obsessive side occupation of Jeff Leiter, its head brewer and principal bucket washer. The gritty and charming (at least in summer) locale of Somerville, Massachusetts is the setting for this modest second floor brewery between Porter and Davis Square. When the boil is over, spent grain is cleaned out, and hoses put away, he (with others in the slum brew fan club) can usually be found at any number of the great local beer bars and breweries in the Somerville/Cambridge/Boston area. And when not there, he’s probably travelling to other amazing beer establishments around the country.
But beer isn’t everything and for the rest of the “Day” Jeff is a principal at a boston-based design and interactive media firm: Silverscape. He works primarilly on directing the creative and technical development of website, ecommerce and interactive projects. Ah, but thats boring… Now back to beer.
